Your Free Army Combat Fitness Test Calculator

The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army’s standard for measuring physical readiness. Whether you are preparing for your first test, tracking progress during training, or checking your current performance level, the Combat Fitness Score Calculator helps you get fast and accurate results. Just enter your scores for all six ACFT events, choose your age group and gender, and the calculator will generate your full score breakdown in seconds. No manual scoring, no confusion, just instant results you can actually use.

How to Use the ACFT Calculator

Step 1: Select Your Profile Choose your gender and age group before entering any results. ACFT scoring standards vary by both, so this step is essential for accurate scoring based on official Army tables. Step 2: Enter Your Event Results Input your performance for each of the six ACFT events using the correct format: Deadlift in pounds, Standing Power Throw in meters, Hand-Release Push-Up in reps, Sprint-Drag-Carry in minutes and seconds, Plank in minutes and seconds, and 2-Mile Run in minutes and seconds. The calculator automatically checks your entries against valid scoring ranges and official event standards. Step 3: View Your Score Breakdown Once your results are entered, the calculator instantly displays your score for each event, your total ACFT score out of 600, your overall pass/fail status, and the areas where you need improvement.

ACFT Events Included in the Calculator

The ACFT replaced the old Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) to better reflect the physical demands of military service. This calculator scores all six official ACFT events. 3 Rep Max Deadlift (MDL): Tests total-body strength and is scored in pounds. Standing Power Throw (SPT): Measures explosive power using a 10-pound medicine ball and is scored in meters. Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP): Evaluates upper-body endurance and is scored in total repetitions. Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC): Tests speed, agility, and anaerobic endurance through sprinting, dragging, shuffling, carrying, and sprinting again, and is scored in minutes and seconds. Plank (PLK): Assesses core strength and endurance and is scored in minutes and seconds. 2-Mile Run (2MR): Measures aerobic endurance and is scored in minutes and seconds.

Understanding Your ACFT Score

Each event is worth 0 to 100 points, giving a maximum total score of 600. To pass the ACFT, you must meet the minimum required standard in every single event. A high total score does not make up for failing one event. Even if your combined score looks strong, failing one category still results in an overall fail. Performance Levels: Excellent: 540–600. Strong Pass: 480–539. Pass: Meets minimum in all 6 events. Fail: Below minimum in any event. The calculator makes this easy to understand by clearly showing your overall status and identifying which events may be lowering your performance.

Why Use This ACFT Calculator?

Built for soldiers and trusted by trainers, this tool is 100% free, delivers instant results, adjusts for age and gender, is easy to use, helps identify weak events, and works smoothly on mobile, tablet, and desktop. It is designed to save time, reduce scoring mistakes, and help you prepare more effectively.

Common Questions About the ACFT

What is the minimum passing score for the ACFT? There is no single minimum total score that guarantees a pass. You must meet the minimum required standard in all six events for your selected age group and gender. Are ACFT standards different for men and women? Yes. ACFT scoring uses both gender-specific and age-specific standards, so always select the correct profile for an accurate result. What happens if I fail the ACFT? Soldiers who fail are usually placed into remediation and retested later. Repeated failures may affect promotion, assignments, and continued service eligibility. How often do soldiers take the ACFT? Most active-duty soldiers take the ACFT twice each year, while Reserve and National Guard soldiers are generally tested once annually. CTA: See All FAQs →
